About Mr. Dad's Designs

Welcome! My name is Brian and I'm the owner of Mr. Dad's Designs (MDD). The name came about as a bit of an inside joke between my daughter and I when she was little.

I operate a small, one man shop where I make things like drink coasters, dump trays, shop trays, cigar ashtrays and holders, bottle openers, and other items. The majority of pieces I make are from natural wood. Many of the things look similar, but no two items are ever the same. Everything is unique. I couldn't make two identical pieces even if I wanted to. I use a variety of tools from chisels to chainsaws. The shapes, sizes, and wood species vary depending on what I have on hand. Unless otherwise noted, everything I make is fully sealed for protection from liquids, ash, temperature changes, and suitable for outdoor use. The cigar ashtrays are completely safe. I've used wood ashtrays for years and they are still holding up incredibly well. 

The majority of items come with felt or silicone pads on the bottom to protect surfaces. They can be easily replaced if necessary. 

The individual listings will specify wood species, dimensions, weight, and any other pertinent information. 

At this time, I am not taking custom orders. My shop will be stocked with pieces as I finish them.
